Government chief whip, John Nasasira has defended the deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah for attending the ruling party tour in west and central regions and a retreat at state house Entebbe.
Nasasira told a press conference that it was appropriate for Aulanyah to attend the meetings which were aimed at touring modern farmers and learn from them to help them apply the knowledge in their constituencies.
Nasaira says that Aulanyah has a constituency which has benefited from the retreat aimed at discussing prosperity for all.
Nasasira statement is in response to the opposition members of parliament criticizing Aulanyah for attending the ruling party meeting which they said was partisan politics
