A section of youth under their association Kick Age Limit Out of the Constitution (KALOC) have supported the constitutional amendment bill number two which looks at lifting presidential age limit in the constitution saying article 102b is discriminatory.
The group led by the guild president of IUIU, Kassim Kamugisha was appearing before the committee on legal and parliamentary affairs chaired by the Gomba west MP, Robinah Rwakoojo.

Kamugisha informed the committee that the cap was put in the constitution as a limitation and not as one of the requirements to determine a capable leader and hence it should be scrapped.
However Kamugisha found a hard time to convince the committee on the capability of an 18 year old after Kampala Central MP, Muhammad Nsereko, asked him to name any country which has ever elected an 18 year president.
Nsereko went ahead to demand they name a rule which shows that they have discriminated young people by not allowing young people to stand and this led to chaos as some MPs did not want the group to answer the question
The committee also received a presentation from the Ruhinda north mp tayebwa Thomas who asked the committee to return term limits in the constitution
