The Lugogo side moved joint top with Express with ten trophies. KCCA who had a better first half then the second half that saw their midfielder Sadam Juma sent off by Centre referee Mashood Ssali after two bookable offences.
KCCA Football Club defeated rivals Vipers 1-0 in the 44th final of the Uganda Cup played at the Emokori playground in Bukedea district on Saturday.
Uganda U-20 captain Julius Poloto headed home the all-important goal in the 42ndminute of the well-attended game. Poloto was well positioned to divert home Allan Okello’s fierce shot from 40 yards on the right flank.
KCCA completed the last 20 minutes of the game with a man less after their star player Sadam Ibrahim Juma was red carded for two bookable offences.
Allan Okello was voted the most valuable player (MVP) while Patrick Kaddu was top scorer with six goals. Charles Lukwago was voted the best goalkeeper.

Each of the individual winners walked away with flat screen TV and trophy. Regards of today’s, result KCCA will represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The battle for silverware in this year’s Uganda Cup was heightened following Stanbic Bank‘s sh300m sponsorship.
The prize money for the competition was raised to sh90m. KCCA walked away with sh30m while Vipers received sh20m. Semifinalists SC Villa and Synergy each received sh10m.
