The Executive Secretary of Uganda Services Exporters Association, George Walusimbi has said that there is need to popularize Information Communication Technology among local communities.

Walusimbi who was speaking to Ultimate Media in Kampala on Friday said that information technology is very crucial especially for the business community because it attracts and opens doors to both local and international business community to the market.

He said that information technology at infrastructure level would lay a strong foundation for distance
trading which would make it easier for the business sector to maximize the opportunities offered at lower costs.

Walusimbi said that many sectors that have failed to utilize the benefits of computer services continue to lag behind with poor quality service offers.
