Uganda Investment Authority to train business community

The Executive Director of Uganda Investment Authority, Maggie Kigozi has said that the Uganda Investment Authority is planning to train the business community on issues concerning business.

Kigozi who was speaking to Ultimate Media in Kampala on Tuesday says that the training will begin in Kampala and will spread to other areas across the country.

She says that the seminars will mainly target people intending to start business, businesses in the early
stages, businesses interested in expanding and small and medium scale enterprises among others.

Kigozi says that this integrated business training program is aimed at imparting entrepreneur skills to
start and run enterprises competitively using the best practices.

She says that the seminars will also help the business community to develop strategic vision as well as
maximize their growth potential, hence developing capacity to create more wealth and employment.

Kigozi says that some of the training intervention areas will include marketing. She says that the
marketing training is designed to equip the entrepreneurs with skills that will enable them market
their products competitively.
