The ruling National Resistance Movement Government has pledged continued support to the Tooro kingdom as well as to the people of Toro.
The pledge comes as the kingdom prepares for the celebration of the Omukama of Toro, Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV’s 18th birthday on Saturday at the royal palace in Toro.

The minister of state for gender and cultural affairs, Rukia Nakadama Isanga says the support is in accordance to article 246 of the constitution that provides for the revitalization, strengthening and support of traditional and cultural institutions.
The minister was addressing the media at Uganda Media Center in Kampala today.
