Members of the Democratic Party will convene in a two weeks time to decide on whether to join the interparty cooperation.
This follows calls from members of the cooperation to the party to join in a bid to strengthen the opposition and take on the ruling NRM.
At its delegates conference in Mbale, the Democratic party members pushed the task to the national executive committee.
DP President, Nobert Mao now says members will soon sit and decide on the way forward.
The parties in the cooperation include Forum for Democratic Change, Uganda Peoples Congress, Conservative Party and JEEMA.
