The Minister of Uganda for Agriculture, Hope Mwesigye has accused the Parliamentary Public Accounts committee (PAC) of attempting to damage her reputation.
This follows today’s media reports in Kampala that she walked out on the committee probing the misuse of CHOGM funds.
Minister Mwesigye was required to appear before PAC to answer queries of mismanagement of the funds intended for the city beautification project on Tuesday April 20 but she walked out of the committee meeting room at the last hour.
Addressing journalists in Kampala today, the minister dismissed the reports saying the committee members intended to deny her the chance for a fair hearing. She threatened to disrespect the contents of the report PAC is about to write and release to the public in a month’s time.
