The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has approved the financial audit report of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) of 2009.
In a letter sent to the federation, the world soccer governing body found the report sent by FUFA very adequate and funds well utilized in the development of the game in the country.
The Chief Executive Officer of FUFA, Edgar Watson Ssuubi says the money that was aimed at developing football categories like Women’s football and administrative purposes was well used and accounted for during the 2009 report.
Edgar says that this certifies the credibility and integrity of FUFA under the presidency of Lawrence Mulindwa because it shows what the Federation is doing to develop the sport in the country
FIFA sends money to its member states through development programmes to cater for the game’s development and Uganda last year received 25,000 US dollars.
