The ruling National Resistance Movement government has been asked to speed up the process of relocating the bududa land slide victims to enable schools in the affected region open on time.
The massive landslides in March this year in Eastern Uganda left over 300 dead and thousands displaced.
The national chairperson of the Uganda National Teachers Association, Margret Rwabasaija says the disaster left many children out of school as well as the teachers out of their Jobs.
Rwakisaija says the interaction that the children get at school can be one of the many ways of giving them psycho-social support.
She said this today while their union was donating different items to the Bududa landslide victims at the Uganda Red Cross society headquarters in Kampala.
