The Procurement Officer of Jinja district, Fred Gulale has been interdicted over alleged abuse of office.

Gulale was interdicted on the orders of the Executive Director of Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets, Edgar Agaba.

The PPDA boss instructed the chief administrative officer of Jinja to sack Gulale following allegations that he was involved in forgery of tender documents, giving tenders to contractors of his interest without following the guidelines of the law.

Gulale was also subjected to police investigations.  The chief CID of Jinja, Ivan Kimalyo confirms the development.

Kimalyo says that he is under taking investigations against the interdicted procurement officer as directed.
