The Acting Chairman of the Public Service Commission, Charles Ebong has urged graduates to promote social transformation in the communities and various institutions of government when they get employed after graduating.
Ebong has told students Uganda Christian University in Mukono that today many institutions and communities in Uganda are breaking down and they need serious transformation.
He says that the students that will soon join the job market should be the ones to bring about this transformation since they are the most suitable people to bring about that needed transformation.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sheldon Mwesigwa has encouraged students not to be discouraged by the fact that in the age and era when is hard to come by, because still with such situations graduates can still get employment if they keep focused while at university.
Mwesigwa says though the figures show that there over 40, 000 job seekers in the country and with only few jobs available, it is important that graduates keep their minds positive as that will help them quickly find employment opportunities in Uganda and avoid being bogged down by the hectic process of searching for employment.
