France owned mobile telecommunication giants Orange Uganda have introduced video calls in the Ugandan market to enable callers to see who they are talking to.
In a message to customers today, Orange said its subscribers now have a chance to make video calls on the orange telephone network.
Orange says their Video Calls will cost subscribers 290 per minute and 7 per second.
Orange Uganda will be the first telecommunication company in Uganda to introduce the service in an increasingly competitive mobile telephone environment.
Orange Uganda came in a Ugandan mobile telephone market already dominated by MTN Uganda, Zain Uganda, Warid and Uganda Telecom and launched a number of products including free calls to Orange phones and fast mobile internet.
Two other companies Telecommunications companies have been licensed by the Uganda Communications Commission to provide mobile phone services in Uganda.
