Journalists from the developing world with a minimum of two years experience may apply for a course in using new tools online. The course will take place September 6 to 10 in London, England. Interested individuals should apply by July 15.
The course will teach newsgathering teams practical ways to take advantage of new tools and methods for finding, developing and presenting stories. All sessions will be conducted in English.
The Thomson Reuters Foundation may waive the tuition fee for applicants from the developing world or countries in political transition working for organizations with no resources for training. Partially-funded bursaries are also available for individuals working for organizations with limited resources for training.
Tuition for journalists not eligible for bursaries will be GBP200 per day (about US$293).
