The women under the Inter-Party Coalition (IPC) have held yet another demonstration at Buganda Road Court, this time protesting against the continuous adjournment of their case.
The women face charges of holding an illegal assembly, following an earlier protest that they held at the Electoral Commission offices, protesting against the leadership of Eng. Badru Kiggundu.

The demonstration of IPC women at Buganda Road Court kicked off after they were told that their case would not be heard today, because the presiding magistrate, John Wekesa was not around.
The women’s demonstration at the court premises prompted the police to disperse them using teargas and the gates to Buganda Road Court have now been closed, limiting public access.
Police constables and stick wielding men locally known as ‘Kibooko’ squad swung into action and beat the women. The National chairperson of Forum for Democratic Change Youth, Ibrahim Kasozi says some of their women have been admitted at Nsambya and Namirembe after being beaten by police.
The IPC women were first charged in January this year after they stormed the Electoral Commission offices, protesting against the leadership of Eng. Badru Kiggundu.
The women whom police describes as so violent have since held several other demonstrations, including one at Parliament and the other along the city streets over the same matter.
