Musician and producer Eddiw Yawe having an eye for politics
Music producer, Eddy Yawe wants to become the Member of Parliament for Kampala Central division in Kampala district. He plans to replace lawyer Erias Lukwago, the current MP for Kampala central.
Yawe is the first top musician in Uganda to publicly declare to take part in 2011 general elections. He is a music producer, composer and singer. Yawe is a brother to singers Bobi Wine and Mikie Wine.
The singer has never been in politics before. He says he has started grassroot elections to enable him win parliamentary elections. Yawe says Bobi Wine is his campaign manager. The music producer wants to contest on the opposition Democratic Party ticket.
He promises to create jobs for unemployed youth, people with disabilities and women among others. The singer says his political rallies will be graced by top musicians like Juliana Kanyomozi, Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, Mozey Radio and Weasel TV among others.
