World Vision Uganda has launched a media health campaign aimed at reducing child mortality in Uganda.
The campaign aimed at meeting the Millennium Development goal number 4 to reduce child mortality by 2014 has been dubbed “Child Health Now”
World Vision Uganda Communications Manager, Aggrey Mugisha told journalists that the campaign aimed at creating awareness will cover 12 Uganda districts of Bundibugyo, Kibaale, Mpigi and Gulu among others.
World Vision Uganda director Dr. Ekiria Kikule says that more emphasis will be put on Malaria and malnutrition since they are the biggest causes of child mortality in Uganda.
Child Health Now campaign is the first World Vision world wide campaign on child mortality which stretches to over 100 countries where World Vision operates.
The Campaign will have its official launch in on 12th August 2010.
