The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) have said they are in full control of all security at Uganda boarders along the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania ready to clash any possible rebels’ infiltration.
This follows intelligence reports that the Allied Democratic Forces based in the Democratic Republic of Congo were planning to launch fresh attacks on Uganda from western Uganda.
The Spokesperson of Ugandan army, Lt. Col. Felix Kulayigye says any group of rebels will this time face its worst if it dares to cause insecurity in the country.
He says the army advises LRA rebels of Joseph Kony and Allied Democratic Forces to stay where they are or denounce the rebellion because any attempt to enter Uganda by force will cause them real trouble. The spokesperson was addressing members of the press today.
He says the army is in presence in all places of Uganda even during public holidays ready to clash any emergency of insurgents.
