The People’s Progressive Party delegate’s conference is ongoing, with its founder Jabiel Bidandi Ssali expected to be elected the party’s flag bearer in the 2011 elections.

Addressing delegates earlier today, Bidandi vowed to fight corruption in the country once he takes over the country’s leadership.

He lamented that corruption has become a celebrated norm and is no longer looked at as a vice that should be fought.

Bidandi Sali says his party will put in place well defined legislation to help fight corruption in the country once it takes over the country’s leadership.

He is also calling for strengthening of the anti-corruption court if the fight against corruption is to yield fruits.
