Joanita Kawalya has excited students that had gathered at the National Theatre after a march through the city against drug trafficking with her enthused performance for the students.
Kawalya has been the only renowned musician to perform for the crowd of students from schools in and around Kampala that participated in the march that ended at the National Theatre.
The march was organized by the Uganda Police and it is aimed at creating awareness about drug trafficking in schools.
Joanita Kawalya is one of the oldest musicians in Uganda’s music industry having started singing over 20 years ago and has always sung with Uganda’s oldest and leading Band Afrigo.
