A leading meat packing plant in Uganda, Fresh cuts has got certified recognition from the International Standardization Organisation for meeting the International food safety and management standards.
The ISO standards on food security are set to ensure effective interactive communication through the food chain such that the best quality food products are delivered to the final consumer.
The Managing Director of Fresh Cuts has said in a press statement that the Fresh Cuts got this certification is because quality is highly valued in the company and that at every production process their products are always kept in safe and highly hygienic environment.
He says however the certification is now a challenge as the company has to maintain the highest levels of quality in their service of meat packing if they are to retain the certification that they have just received from ISO.
Though a reputable plant, Fresh Cuts is is still growing meat packing plant that just recently expanded its meat production capacity to about 3,000 kilos per day and hopes to even expand to a bigger capacity in future.
