The 11th Graduation of Uganda Christian University that saw over 900 students graduate from the University is the last Graduation that Prof. Steven Noll presided over as the Vice Chancellor of the Mukono based University.
This comes after the search that started late last year for the new Vice Chancellor that will replace Rev. Prof. Steven Noll came to an end earlier this year when the University announced that it had chosen Rev. Dr. John Senyonyi the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Finance and Administration as the Vice Chancellor elect of UCU.
Rev. Prof. Noll has been at the helm of the University’s administration for over ten years having come on as the VC of UCU in 2000 and thus making him the longest serving Vice Chancellor of the University thus far.
Rev. Prof. Noll will mostly be remembered for initiating the building of the state of the art Hamu Mukasa Library that is likely cost about over 28 billion shillings though he will leave when the work on library has just been started. Hardly a week ago, it was announced on the University Website that work on the library would begin this week.
Rev. Prof. Noll is set to hand over instruments of power as the new Vice Chancellor of UCU Rev. Dr. John Senyonyi later next month.
