Fuel stations in Uganda run dry

Tens of fuel stations in Uganda in Uganda have run dry leading to rise of fuel prices, especially in Kampala.

The fuel shortage in Uganda has been caused by the slow repairs of weigh bridges on the High Way to Mombasa port.

Most Shell, Total, Fiina, and Hared petrol pumps are without fuel including diesel and paraffin.

Other fuel experts attribute the increase on fuel prices to the slow weight verification process of oil vehicles coming into Uganda.

The marketing and operations manager of Kobil Uganda, Peter Onasis says the fuel crisis will be solved soon adding that many oil trucks are heading to Uganda.
