Dr. Thoraya Ahmed Obaid
The Under Secretary General of the United Nations, Dr. Thoraya Ahmed Obaid will give Ugandan mothers and other citizens a public lecture on reproductive health on July 27th this year.
The venue for the lecture is Makerere University’s Main Hall starting at 3:00pm and ending at 5:00pm.
The lecture has been organized by Makerere University and the United Nations Population Fund. Dr. Obaid will give the lecture during her forthcoming visit to Uganda.
The public lecture is titled ‘reproductive health and rights –perspective for further development in Africa.’ The lecture is open to invited guests and members of the general public, academia, civil society, gender activists and women group representatives among others.
