The Inspector General of Police, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura has said terrorism is preventable when Ugandans and organizers of events take basic security arrangements and precautionary measures at their places. He was addressing journalists at the Central Police Station in Kampala today.
On Sunday July 11th, 2010, twin bomb blasts hit the Ethiopian Village Kabalagala and Kyadondo Rugby Club killing over 70 people and scores injured.
Kayihura says terrorism both local and international is real and it is a threat to all Ugandans and the international community.
He therefore calls upon all Ugandans irrespective of their tribes and region of origin to join police and other security organs in the fight against terrorism.
