The National Resistance Movement (NRM) government has elected its party grass roots leaders this Friday in different parts of the country.
The Secretary General of NRM, Amama Mbabazi says elections have kicked off in time at different poling centers country wide. He says the few discrepancies that have been reported at different poling centers are normal because they can not be avoided in any given election.
The NRM party elections were postponed from Wednesday this week to Friday today because the election materials did not arrive in some districts on time.
He has told journalists in Kampala that more people have turned up for NRM elections. Mbabazi, who is also the security minister in Uganda, says the NRM party’s polls have been free and fair.
