Jim Muhwezi

Three former health ministers, Jim Muhwezi, Mike Mukula and Alex Kamugisha have been summoned by the Anti corruption court over alleged embezzlement of GAVI funds.

The three have been summoned together with former state house Aide, Alice Kaboyo by anti corruption court magistrate Iren Akankwasa.

The three former ministers and the statehouse aide are accused of embezzlement, forgery, uttering false documents and causing financial loss of over 1.6 billion shillings meant to treat malaria, TB and HIV/AIDS.

Prosecution alleges that they committed the offences between 2007 and 2008. They will appear before court on 10th August 2010.
