President Museveni will open the fifth international conference on agricultural statistics in October this year in a bid to improve the quality of agricultural statistics.
The national coordinator of international conference on agricultural statistics, James Mubiru says the conference is expected to lift millions of Ugandan and Africans in general out of poverty and hunger.
The event will run under the theme, “integrating agriculture into national statistical systems.” The delegates who will attend the meeting will be taught in using new tools and methods to integrate agricultural statistics into the statistical systems.
The meeting will be attended by USA, United Kingdom, Russia, France, Canada, Austria, Jamaica, South Africa, Kenya, Latin America, Israel, Portugal, Italy, Germany, and China among others.
