The Speaker of Uganda Parliament, Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi has mourned the former President of Uganda, Godfrey Lukongwa Binaisa, whom he described as a former great president, Uganda’s Attorney General and a Queens Counsel (QC).
Sekandi while speaking to journalists at the deceased’s home in Makindye said Binaisa has been one of the Ugandans who have contributed to the country’s political and social development.
The Speaker says Binaisa’s high valued determination and hard work enabled him to become the President of Uganda, Attorney General, Queen’s Counsel and respected international lawyer.
Sekandi adds that Binaisa was a self-made person. “He was a determined, loving, Jolly and hardworking man person,” he notes.
Sekandi has also hailed the government of Uganda and the general public for their support to the deceased. Late Binaisa was born on May 30th 1920.
