The survivors of July 11th twin bomb blasts in Kampala in which over 70 people died and scores injured have asked the government ‘not to waist time but kill’ the bomb blasts suspects.
The victims of the bomb blasts at the Ethiopian Village Kabalagala and Kyadondo Rugby Club have told Ultimate Media today that the principle the government of Uganda should follow while dealing with the suspects of Kampala bomb blasts should be ‘an eye for an eye and tooth for tooth.’
One of the suspects implicated in the July 11th bomb blasts on Tuesday this week confessed to being involved in the plot .
Hassan Haruna Luyima, a 27year old businessman made the confession before grade one magistrate, Agnes Nabaffu at Nakawa Court.
Luyima in his confession reportedly said he was misled by his brother who works and resides in Mombasa, identified as Ali Luyima.
He told court that the planning began in May and a final meeting was held days to the blasts.
Haruna Luyima also tells court that he was a friend to the suspected suicide bombers, including a Kenyan who died at the Ethiopian Restaurant IN Kabalagala and a Somali, who died at the Kyadondo Rugby grounds.
The suspect also says his role was to drop bags with bombs attached to old phones in Makindye.
Hassan Haruna Luyima appealed to the magistrate for forgiveness, stating that he was not a terrorist but he was just misled by his brother.
The 2nd suspect who also confessed to participation in the plot for placing the bombs was identified as Edrisa Nsubuga, a shop attendant from Butambala.
Edrisa told Nakawa Grade one magistrate George Ebungo that he participated in the planning process but said he had been summoned to Nairobi at the time of the blasts.
