One of the members of the breakaway faction of the Democratic Party, Betty Nambooze has finally accepted to cross over to the party’s main camp to work with the party president, Norbert Mao.
Nambooze says she will be part of the group of politicians who will lead Mao’s presidential campaign team in Buganda Region.
Nambooze is one of the key politicians in Buganda region. Speaking to journalists in Kampala today, Nambooze said she has already picked DP nomination forms for Mukono North MP seat.
She has also urged other members in the DP breakaway faction who have not yet picked nomination forms to do so before the party closes the exercise.
Some of the DP MPs who have not yet picked nomination forms Dr. Michael Lulume Bayiga of Buyikwe South and Elias Lukwago of Kampala Central division.
However, the Deputy Organizing Secretary of DP, Sulaiman Kidandala has told Ultimate Media on phone today that Lukwago is willing to pick DP nomination forms but he is still waiting parliament to decide on the fate of Kampala takeover.
