The Spokesperson of African Union peacekeepers, Maj. Ba-hoku Barigye has denied reports that some African Union peacekeepers might have died on Tuesday bomb attacks in Mogadishu.
The suspected Al Shabaab terrorists on Tuesday August 24 killed over 30 civilians and Members of Parliament at Muna Hotel in central Mogadishu.
Maj. Ba-hoku Barigye has told media houses in Mogadishu today that No Ugandan, Burundian or any other soldier belonging to the African Union peacekeeping force died in the Tuesday bomb attack.
He however says there is still stiff fighting between AL Shabaab and the AU peacekeepers in Mogadishu.
Recently over 76 people who were watching the 2010 World Cup Final in Kabalagala and Kyadondo Rugby Club died and scores injured in twin bombings in Kampala. The deadly Al Shabaab terrorists claimed responsibility.
