Lwemiyaga County MP, Theodore Ssekikubo is seeking the intervention of President Yoweri Museveni over alleged threats against his life.
Gunshots rocked Lwemiyaga in Ssembabule district on Monday when area MP Theodore Sekikubo and the Police engaged in running battles again following attempts to arrest his bodyguard, Alex Mugabi.
Speaking to the media at Parliament today, Ssekikubo noted that the President is yet to act on threats allegedly enclosed in the petition filed by Mawogola MP, Sam Kutesa and over 300 NRM members warning that they will use undemocratic means to discipline Ssekikubo.
Ssekikubo says though he has written to the President about the matter, there has been no positive response, adding that the issue should be dealt with before the situation escalates.
