MP wants Mulago independent of government

The MP for Lubaga North, Betty Olive Kamya wants Mulago National Referral Hospital to become an independent government health institution with capacity to generate its own funds.

Kamya, who was touring Mulago Hospital today, said Mulago will become one of the top health facilities in Africa if it operates in an independent capacity.

The MP says this will improve service delivery at Mulago Hospital whose ratings are currently down.

Kamya further says when Mulago becomes independent it will improve its human resource, infrastructure, public image and reduce patient congestion frustration.
