Out of the four most popular political parties only Uganda People’s Congress had a representative at the public debate that has taken place at Imperial Royale Hotel. The National Resistance Movement, the Forum for Democratic Change and the Democratic Party did not respond to the invitation for this debate.

Kamya who turned up for the debate has told journalist that is it is unfortunate that all these parties have refused to respond to this call because that is the call of the people who wanted to hear from the parties what they can do about the health issues in the country.

She says it is the call of the people because the civil societies that organized the debate represent the people of Uganda.

On the other hand Bwanika has said that probably these parties never turned up because they had no serious policy issues on health.

The debate was organized by the Makerere University College of Health Sciences.
