Betty Kamya to stand for President

The Member of Parliament for Rubaga North, Betty olive Kamya has said that she is standing for President of Uganda in the 2011 Uganda general elections well sure that she will not win.

Kamya who will stand on the ticket of the Uganda Federal Alliance which she heads says that she is leaving parliament to engage in nationwide politics and will contest for the post of President.

She however says she has no hope of winning to become President of Uganda but wants to take the chance of competing in the 2011 presidential elections to mobilize Ugandans to support the Uganda Federal Alliance ideals which call for a federal system of government.

Kamya says her major goal is not to win the Presidency but to take the right path by advocating for what is right and good for all Ugandans.

She says she is going to educate Ugandans about the federal system of government which she says enables every region to manage its own resources and better serve its people.
