It is a pleasure to inform you that e-Gov World 2011 is scheduled to be held on January 20 -21, 2011 at Hotel The Grand , New Delhi, India. The conference summit is jointly organized by The Society for Promotion of e-Governance (SpeG) and Tetra Information Services.
Started in 2004 as a flagship initiative of The Society for Promotion of e-Governance (SPeG), e-Gov World is arguably India’s oldest and one of the most reputed summits in the e-Government/Government Transformation domain. The participation by the government policy makers, industry leaders, academic institutions and heads of civil society organizations has been constantly increasing for past 7 years. A number of policy initiatives and innovative projects have become a reality based upon the stakeholder consultations held during these conferences.
Mobile Applications for transforming public service delivery is emerging as most viable option given the penetration of mobile devices in rural areas. Keeping in mind the enormous potential of innovations in the domain; “Mobile Applications for inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development” is the prominent theme of e-Gov World 2011. The other thematic areas that will be deliberated on during the two day conference are Open Source for Public Administration (OSPA) and Performance Management.
The organizing committee of e-Gov World 2011 invites contributions of both an empirical and theoretical nature, from a policy and/or technical perspective, and/or which address current issues and innovative ideas for delivering e-Government services. The submitted papers will be evaluated by the prominent jury and the selected papers included in the conference proceedings. Awards of INR 50,000 , INR 25,000 and INR 15,000 will be provided to top three papers.
The deadline for submission of completed papers is November 15, 2010
A prominent group of editors under the leadership of Prof. M.P.Gupta of IIT Delhi is invited to compile the publication based upon the selected papers.
