It is not usual that people celebrate 100 years, and when that happens, there is a lot of joy and jubilation. That is exactly what will be happening at Duhaga Boys School in Hoima on Saturday October 16th when the school will mark its Centenary Anniversary.
Duhaga Boys’ School, which is named after King Duhaga of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom, was established in 1910. The school is located in Duhaga, a suburb of Hoima town and is a few kilometers from the Kingdom’s place, Karuzika.
The current king of Bunyoro Kitara, Omukama Rukirabasaija Solomon Iguru Agutamba will be the chief guest at the celebrations programed to start at 9am and at 4pm, according to the Publicity Secretary of the organizing committee Robert S. Owagonza.
The function is expected to attract old boys of the school, old girls of the sister Duhaga Girls School, parents, friends, teachers, the school’s Board of Governor and many well wishers.
