The President of the People’s Progressive Party, Jaberi Bidandi Ssali has promised his party will improve governance and make Uganda a comfortable place for every citizen if he is elected as president.
Bidandi was on Monday launching his election manifesto in Kampala. He says the major challenge facing the country is lack of good governance and accused the current government of President Yoweri Museveni of not respecting public institutions and Ugandans.
Bidandi a long time ally of President Museveni and former Minister of Local government says many Ugandans no longer have belief in government and public offices in general.
He also promised his government will focus on ending conflicts and promoting reconciliation, improving social services and building necessary infrastructure to boost economic development.
