The Federation of Uganda Employers Association has called for a sector based type of minimum wage rather than a single minimum wage.
The Executive Director for the federation for Uganda employers Rosemary Senabulya says each sector should have its minimum wage.
She says putting in place a single minimum wage will be disadvantageous to all the workers.
This follows increased demands from workers unions in Uganda for the government to set a minimum wage to ensure every worker is paid a fair sum of money for work done.
Senabulya says workers will benefit because this will help to look into the minimum working conditions in terms of hours a worker spends at work.
