Officials from the Ministry of Education have today closed Seeta Parents Primary School in Seeta town council Mukono district until further notice after finding the school teaching pupils a month ahead of the official opening of first term.
An officer from the education ministry Joseph Lubwama directed an immediate send off of pupils back to their parents and he called police to arrest Rose and Andrew Oyana who were found teaching.
The proud pupils said that the school administration charges 80,000 shillings per week on every pupil and they study from 7:00AM to 9:30PM with only break-fast, lunch and dinner breaks.
The Ministry of Education issued a rule that disallows schools to teach students or pupils in holidays but many schools continue to disregard these regulations.
Lubwama who is the ministry’s Principal Inspector in charge Primary education said that the school will not be allowed to open on 31st this Month unless its administration gives satisfactory explanation.
