The President of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) and a former presidential candidate in the 18th February 2011 presidential election Bidandi Ssali has said that the NRM government of President Yoweri Museveni is not legitimate because it was installed through unfair elections.
Bidandi joins other former presidential candidates like Norbert Mao and Kiiza besigye of FDC, Olara otunu of UPC and Independent candidate Samuel Lubega who have so far discredited the elections exercise from the day of nominations to the day of elections.
Bidandi says the ruling party NRM bought voters and deployment of very many security forces intimidated people letting about 6 million voters not to vote.
Bidandi says that the party is arranging to call for the party National Delegates Conference to see how they can challenge the results of the elections.
