A Report from the Ministry of Health indicates that lose of government medicine to the fraudulent health workers is on increase.
While addressing a press conference in Kampala Dr. Diana Atwine, the head of the recently Medicines and Health Service Delivery Monitoring Unit said several health officials across the country are being investigated over medicine loses in health centers.

Dr. Atwine says that the most implicated are the senior officers who take advantage of their offices to rob the citizens of their medicine.
The ministry has issued 8800400447 toll free and 0414288445 for the members of the public to report any suspicion of medicine theft.
During his campaigns in the just concluded elections President Museveni has promised to put a keen interest on health institutions and promised to terminate any officers who will be found involved in the vice of stealing medicine.
