They knew Ugandans love meat a lot, and also that consuming vegetables is good for one’s health, and they came up with a product to make eating vegatables like eating meat.
Unilever Uganda Country Manager George Inholosays Knorr will be used to add a beef-flavour to vegetables and improve the nutrition of meat-loving Ugandans.
“As a leader in the global food market, Unilever is committed to marketing great-tasting foods that will make the healthy choice an easy choice by transforming the taste of nutrient-rich foods”, he said.
He says the food additive comes as a single cube at 50 Uganda shillings or a pouch containing 40 beef cubes retailing at 1,600 Uganda shillings.
