Presidential press secretary Tamale Mirundi has dismissed reports that the president Okayed the proposal by ex-service men who took over part of the land on the Namanve forestry reserve.
Yesterday the encroachers told MPS on the parliamentary committee of Natural Resources that they are there because they were Okayed by the head of state.
Mirundi however says the President has never given a go ahead to the ex-servicemen to occupy Namanve forest reserve and says the law should catch up with them.
He blames the National Forestry Authority for failure to protect the forest because the encroachers are every were in the country.
