The demographers have said that the level at which the Ugandan population is growing some civil unrests are likely to emerge.
According to the United Nations report, Uganda’s population may reach 94 million in the next 40 years.
The report also indicates that by 2015 the population will raise from the current 33 to 39 million people and at the end of this century it is likely to be 170 million people.
The regional Director of Partners in Population and Development, Dr. Jotham Musinguzi says that high population with insufficient infrastructures for education, health and medical supplies are likely to cause unrest in the country.
He adds that high population is an engine for growth and development but dangerous if there many unemployed youths.
