Young people in Uganda have spoken out loudly about their love for hip hop music by naming hip hop artists as their leading musciains in the Buzz Teenies Awards held over the weekend.

Hip hop stars Navio, GNL Zamba, Emcee Keko were the biggest winners of the event at the Lugogo Hockey Grounds.

Navio was named the Teeniez Role Model, Teeniez Male artist of the year as well as Teeniez top hood rapper in the night that witnessed lots of entertainment from Ugandan artists.

GNL’s Baboon Forest Entertainment scooped the 2011Teenies Hottest Group / Crew award and the self styled luga-flow leader was joined by group members Mun G and Big Tril to pick the award.

Emcee Keko, the leading female luga-flow enthusiast was named the 2011 Teeniez Female Artiste and Teeniez breakout artiste of the year.

Hip hop hit, the Whistle Song by Locomotives won both Teeniez hottest collabo and Teeniez hottest hip hop song underlining the preference of hip hop and its local version of luga flow by Ugandan teens.

• Aziz Azion, Teeniez Rn’B artiste
• Aziz Azion, Teeniez Rn’B group
• Coco Finger, the Teeniez Dancehall Artiste /Group Award.
