The Minister for Security, Amama Mbabazi has confirmed that the government is seriously investigating errant officers who shot and killed civilian as well as injuring civilians during walk to work protests.

According to the minister, the government is deeply concerned about the loss of lives and injuries that many people have suffered. He says it is not the government’s intention to kill its subject but these were errors made by security officers who were deployed to calm the protests.

He also adds that the government is also investigating civilians who championed the riots so that they also face justice the way the errant officers are to face it.
