The Democratic Party has started mobilizing voters to recall Lubaga North Member of Parliament Katongo Singh Katongole from parliament.
Katongole of the ruling party NRM was sworn in yesterday 16th may 2011 a day before he was scheduled to take oath.
His earlier swearing in came as his rival Moses Kasibante of DP was preparing to secure a court injunction to block his swearing in.
Kasibante is demanding for a recount of votes in Lubaga North race claiming there was massive rigging in Katongole’s favour. Democratic Party president Norbert Mao says the party has started collecting signature from residents of Lubaga to attach a petition to demand for re-count of votes.
