Leading opposition party Forum for Democratic Change has revealed that they are in talks with opposition parties on who should lead the opposition in the 9th parliament.
According to Salam Musumba, the Vice President of the party, they are still waiting to have UPC and DP to give in their take on who should lead the opposition side for the next five years.
She told journalists in Kampala today that different parties have filed their favorite candidates to lead the opposition, a prestigious post equivalent to the government minister.
The opposition also has to elect an opposition Chief whip who will guide the opposition in Parliament.
Musumba also confirms the FDC will on Tuesday be presenting a full team of those members who are going to compete for the leader of opposition post.
Reports indicate that FDC MPs Alice Alaso (Soroti), Abdul Katuntu (Bugweri), Cecilia Ogwal (Dokolo), Kassiano Wadri (Terego) are in the front run for the top opposition seat.
